What is Lightcast?

Lightcast is a powerful resource for program development, offering valuable insights that help connect education to employment. Program Overview reports support the identification of market opportunities for new programs, while labor market data enables existing programs to evaluate curriculum effectiveness and ensure alignment with in-demand skills. Together, these tools help institutions better prepare students for success in an evolving job market.

 


Request Lightcast Data

Requests for Lightcast data should include a CIP code, as programs are organized according to CIP classifications. Please also specify the geographic area to be analyzed—such as national, state, ZIP code, metropolitan area, or a group of counties—as well as the degree level of interest (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, etc.) to ensure appropriate report parameters are established.

If assistance is needed with selecting parameters, comparing multiple regions or degree levels, or exploring additional reporting options, meetings may be scheduled to discuss available reports and reporting strategies.
